Macmillan Coffee Morning Breaks Ferryspeed Donation Records
The Portsmouth and Jersey Ferryspeed depots joined forces last month to host sponsored coffee mornings for staff, raising a total of £1,400.11 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
In Jersey, Emma Thompson, Karen Fisher, and other members of the Ferryspeed team baked a variety of homemade cakes and biscuits which they brought into the depot for colleagues to enjoy as part of their Macmillan Coffee Morning. The treats included an incredible red velvet tray bake, classic Victoria sponge, chocolate brownies, and fresh scones with cream and jam. This year, the Jersey team broke previous donation records, raising an impressive £400.11 for the charity.
In Portsmouth, Sally Newman from the accounts team organised a delicious spread of cakes and coffee for staff, including cupcakes, traybakes, and pastries made by team members and their families. Their efforts raised an amazing £503, which was then matched by the company, resulting in a cheque for £1000 donated to Macmillan Cancer Support from the Portsmouth depot.
Ferryspeed would like to say a special thank you to Sally, Emma, Karen and all of the other brilliant team members who made and donated cakes for this terrific cause, and to all of those who took part on the day, making donations to the charity.
Ferryspeed takes part in Macmillan Coffee Mornings every year to raise vital funds for the British cancer charity, which provides specialist medical, emotional, practical, and financial support to people living with cancer in the UK, as well as their family and friends.
