On 25th September, Ferryspeed took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for the second consecutive year to fundraise for the Macmillan Cancer Support charity which provides medical, emotional, practical and financial support for people living with cancer in the UK, as well as their family and friends.
Ferryspeed’s coffee morning featured a host of homemade cakes including a green and white Macmillan Cancer Support cake with the words ‘promise, hope, cure’ piped in green icing.
Staff who attended the event, which was organised by Trish Higham had the opportunity to take part in a raffle and a ‘guess the hundreds and thousands on the cake’ competition.
Prizes up for grabs included bottles of wine and beer, and boxes of chocolates and biscuits.
Ferryspeed said, “We’re delighted to have hosted our own version of this worthwhile event and we’re extremely grateful to our team members who helped make it such a success.
“Raising £1000 in one morning is a huge achievement and it’s wonderful to know that Macmillan Cancer Support will be using the money to help the one in three people who will face cancer.”
