Ambient and Temperature Control
Ferryspeed operates within the guidelines of HACCP in order to comply with the full requirements of EU regulations and the Food Safety Act.
All receipts of temperature controlled goods are accepted through sealed docks to maintain the integrity of the load and prevent loss of temperature.
Prior to receipt consignments are probed to ensure they are the correct temperature.
Consignments are then moved to the appropriate temperature controlled storage area.
All depots are fitted with computerised equipment to manage the temperatures of all refrigerated areas.
Audible alarms will sound if any compartment exceeds its maximum permissible temperature so that management can take immediate and appropriate action to restore the correct setting.
Manual checks are also made at all stages throughout the supply chain.
