Ferryspeed Extends Long-Standing Partnership with Meachers

Ferryspeed has extended its partnership with Meachers Global Logistics, continuing a well-established relationship that supports the consistent flow of goods between the UK mainland and the Channel Islands.

Having worked closely together for several years, both businesses have developed a reliable, well-integrated operation. This next phase strengthens that model further, continuing a streamlined approach to how freight is consolidated and moved through the network.

At its core, the partnership is focused on simplifying the supply chain. Freight collected from across the UK is consolidated into full loads before moving to the Channel Islands. Under the extended agreement, freight from the Midlands and North will now be consolidated at Meachers’ Derby site, before being trunked to Ferryspeed’s Portsmouth operation for onward distribution.

This more structured flow reduces handling, improves visibility across shipments and ensures freight is managed in a more controlled and consistent way. For customers, that means fewer touchpoints, clearer communication, and a more efficient overall service.

Maintaining dependable transit times is critical for island logistics where there is less room for disruption. By working closely with Meachers, Ferryspeed can better manage volumes, plan capacity, and maintain service levels even during peak periods.

Extending the agreement reflects a shared focus on operational performance and long-term stability. Both businesses understand how each other works, allowing for quicker decision making and more efficient day-to-day operations.

This latest phase of the partnership reinforces the strength of the Ferryspeed and Meachers partnership, underlining a shared commitment to high standards in both logistics and customer services.
